A Walk in Assisi

Just getting around to posting pictures from the earlier part of my Italy trip.  One of the highlights of the trip was an afternoon spent in the ancient city of Assisi.  I’d known of Assisi only as the birthplace of St. Francis.  The cathedral to the town’s most notable saint was a structure of understated beauty.  For me, though, the most memorable part of Assisi was the quiet found in the meandering warren of side streets and alleys.  You can just feel the history.  Here are a few of my many photos from the walk.
